Where are all my designs being saved?
If you’ve ever wondered where your floorplans, renders, or generated images are being stored in Maket this guide will help you locate them! Whether you started from a Plan, Image, or Project, here’s how saving works and how you can stay organized.
“My Drafts” — The Default Save Location
Whenever you begin designing by clicking Plan or Image directly from your dashboard (right after logging in), your work will be saved in a folder called My Drafts.
This is your personal sandbox — a place to freely explore, experiment, and test ideas. Every time you generate a plan, tweak a layout, or render an image, it’s saved automatically here (after clicking save to project) unless you're working within a named project.
📍 Tip: You can always tell where your design is being saved by looking at the label next to the arrow in the top-left corner. If it says “My Drafts,” that’s where your design lives.
Projects — Saving with Structure
If you want to keep things more organized, start by clicking Project from the dashboard. You’ll be prompted to name your project and once that’s done, everything you create within it (plans, images, renders) will be saved directly under that project folder.
This is perfect for:
- Working on multiple home designs at once
- Keeping separate files for different clients or use cases
- Returning to specific design sets later without digging through drafts
Designs saved inside a project won’t show up under My Drafts — they’re kept within the project you named, helping you stay focused and organized.
How to Tell Where a Design Is Saved
Check the top-left corner of your canvas:
- If you see “My Drafts”, your design was saved from a quick Plan or Image start.
- If you see the name of a project, you’re working inside an organized project folder.
